Pear Pizza with Gorgonzola Cheese


  • 2 pears, skin on, thinly sliced into discs
  • 1 - 4 inch wedge gorgonzola cheese
  • 1 teaspoon olive or walnut oil
  • 20 walnut halves, coarsely chopped
  • 1 cup arugula


  1. Pre-heat oven to 450.
  2. Brush bottom of cookie sheet with olive oil.
  3. Place pear discs slightly overlapping in a circle.
  4. Place in oven for about 5 minutes.
  5. Remove from oven and sprinkle with gorgonzola cheese, walnuts and arugula.
  6. Put back in the oven for about 5 minutes, until cheese is soft.
